Q & A
What have you learned playing sports that you use in work/school/life?
Hi, my name is Sonia. From 20 years, I’ve been part of the Amico Sport association, and thanks to this extraordinary group of friends, coaches, and assistants, I’ve improved a lot. I’ve learned how to interact with others, and sports have taught me what it means to be part of a team and work together toward a common goal. I work in the kitchen of the big hospital in the province of Cuneo (Italy), where I handle dishwashing. Sports have also taught me how to collaborate with my colleagues, communicate with them during challenging moments, and enjoy the good times together. Understanding rules through sports has been helpful not only in my job but also in managing public transportation independently. Now I can read bus schedules and travel to work on my own. Through sports, I’ve met many new people who, like me, face new challenges every day to achieve their goals. I enjoy winning, but even when I lose, I celebrate with those who outperformed me SECHI
