Q & A
What have you learned playing sports that you use in work/school/life?
I feel lucky to practice cross-country skiing with Special Olympics because it makes me feel good, and I stay fit and healthy. I know I can do it with my legs and improve my movements. When I go uphill, I have to push a lot, and then I enjoy going downhill. I have learned to let it go and to have fun. I have to be careful not to hurt myself, to be prudent, and to stay focused. I give it all I have. I can do it. For me, cross-country skiing is an opportunity, it’s my chance. At national competitions, I like to be in company with others, with friends, and this makes me happy.
