Playing sports has taught me many valuable lessons and has helped me in my everyday life. Competition helps me set and work towards goals, as well as learn discipline. Throughout the years, I’ve learned that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. When I fail, I work harder and practice more to be physically, emotionally, and mentally ready to take on the next challenge. I have found that with practice you will always get better. When I want to quit, I take a step back and remember the goals I have set for myself. You will learn from your mistakes, and you can bounce back after setbacks. Always work with others and talk things out. Celebrate when you succeed as you have earned it. Remember the Athlete’s Code of Conduct: LET ME WIN. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.
