Q & A

What have you learned playing sports that you use in work/school/life?

By playing sports I have learned several things that have helped me in my daily job at work. There are advantages of both team and individual sports that help me do a good job at work. I learned how to do individual jumps, foot work, and routines by doing them over and over again, one step at a time! It helped me learn how to do work patterns in order to become more efficient at cleaning up my area at work. By listening to coaches I learned to follow directions of my supervisors to do tasks at work. Attending practices, meets, and other competitions taught me time management. I know how important it is to be on time for work because other employees are counting on me to do my job so they can do theirs. Through sports I have learned how to interact socially and competitively with other people, to accept success, and learn from defeat. Sports has been a great addition along with work to keep me balanced, involved, and healthy.
