Q & A
What have you learned playing sports that you use in work/school/life?
I’ve learned that communication skills are important in all aspects of life. You have to be able to speak loud enough for your teammates to know the game plans to win the game or to cheer teammates on. At work, your coworkers need to know what items need done, in what order, and if they are completed and ready for delivery. In my life being able to order a meal at a restaurant, enjoying hanging out with my friends or helping raise funds for our Special Olympics events. I have to be able to help others understand the point that I’m trying to get across by speaking.
